RSPCA LlysNini Animal Centre Fire Break Lockdown Appeal

The LlysNini Centre provides a safe haven for around 2000 neglected, abused, abandoned and unwanted animals each year. The charity, although affiliated to the RSPCA, is predominantly self-funding, having to raise tens of thousands of pounds every year.

The Centre has been badly affected by the Covid 19 situation and now the Firebreak Lockdown over the Halloween period has meant they have had to cancel their most popular and biggest fundraising event of the year-the week-long Halloween Spooky Woodland Trail and Pumpkin Carving Festival.

LlysNini fundraising team are devastated to cancel the event, not just from a fundraising aspect, but also disappointing the families, especially the children who love the event and also get the chance to meet some of the animals and staff bringing a fun atmosphere to the Centre. Over the Halloween week the charity usually welcome in excess of three thousand visitors to the site.

The animal centre will also have the huge loss of income from their 12 shops which will have to close again for one of their busiest periods over half term.

Gary Weekes, LlysNini’s Animal Centre Manger said, “All the animals currently at LlysNini are safe and well and being looked after by our skeleton staff and vets. Although our income has drastically reduced, the bills haven’t.” Any donation will mean the world to us.
