Scarlets dominate Zebre to continue unbeaten run

THERE was no doubting the intent from the Scarlets as they ran riot over Zebre at Parc y Scarlets today, Saturday (Oct 12).

Brad Mooar’s men were running on high octane from the get go and finished with that all important bonus point and maintaining their unbeaten run in the Guinness Pro 14.

First half tries by Kieran Hardy, Josh Macleod and Ryan Conbeer meant that it was always going to be a tough ask for the men from Zebre to get back into the game.

A try from Marco Manfredi may have given the visitors slight hope but that was short lived when Hardy went over again to secure the bonus point and with only 30 minutes of the match played.

The Scarlets went in to the changing rooms at half time 26-10 up.

There was no let up from the home side in the second half with further tries from Taylor Davies, Johnny McNicholl and Josh Helps.

With players on World Cup duty this side has shown that they can win and win well. Even with Lewis Rawlins sin-binned after a series of defensive penalties they managed to retain control of the game. It would surely have pleased the Scarlets faithful in the stands.

Final score was Scarlets 54 v 10 Zebre
