PLANS have been submitted to create six new industrial units on a business park in Wrexham county borough.
The application would result in the development of vacant land at Wynnstay Technology Park in Ruabon.
The site sits next to a plot where permission was granted for 43 houses in January last year.
The proposals by Gratton Oakes Ltd are designed to cater for both small and medium-sized businesses in the area.
In a planning statement, agents acting on the company’s behalf said:
“This document supports the full planning application for the Land at Wynnstay Technology Park, Ruabon.
“The application is for full planning approval, for six industrial units to a vacant site.
“The proposed units will be single storey. They are a comparable size and scale to those opposite and adjacent buildings to ensure the continuity of the street scene.
“The layout has been designed to provide adequate parking for staff and visitors, while allowing good access for deliveries and collections.”
They added: “The units themselves look to deliver six high quality commercial units to meet the local need.
“With this in mind, we feel the scheme is both successful and will deliver the space required for local and national companies.”
The application will be considered by Wrexham Council at a later date before a final decision is made.
