SOUTH Wales Police held an Accelerated Misconduct Hearing in Police HQ, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend on Tuesday 27th July concerning PC Adrian Hughes.
The hearing considered an allegation of discreditable conduct which arose as a result of the former officer’s criminal convictions for common assault.
The hearing, chaired by Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan, found the allegations amounted to gross misconduct and that the officer would have been dismissed if he was still serving.
A referral will be made to the College of Policing for the officer to be included on the Barred List to prevent him from returning to policing
