TWENTY-six affordable homes have been given the green light in Letterston.

A planning application by housing group Ateb has been conditionally approved by Pembrokeshire County Council planners.

A mix of houses, bungalows and apartments are proposed for land south of Parc Maen Hir, Station Road.

It will include eight, two-bedroom, two-story semi detached houses; four one-bedroom flats; two, three-bedroom semi-detached houses; four one-bedroom semi-detached bungalows and eight two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, two of which will be for the elderly.

The 26 homes would be an extension to the existing development at Parc Maen Hir, where residents will also access the houses from, arranged on a cul-de-sac.

Each home would have dedicated parking and amenity areas with the development also including a significant amount of landscaping with tree and shrub planting.

Letterston Community Council had no objection to the proposal but did raise concerns about sustainable travel and traffic safety issues, light pollution and the Welsh language.
