TWO men have been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident at a homeless shelter in Bridgend.
A police officer was assaulted while visiting Brynmenyn Hostel in Bridgend on Thursday, January 28.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Police responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in Abergarw Road, Bridgend at approximately 4.30 pm on Thursday, January 28.
“A number of units attended to support colleagues, one of whom sustained minor injuries.”
One of the men has been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and the other has been charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Both men have been recalled to prison and are due to appear in court.
