Gwent Police have launched an appeal for information following a report of a robbery in Newport. The statement reads as follows:
We’re investigating a report of robbery in Cromwell Road, Newport at around 1.50am on Friday 5 August.
A man was approached by two men who reportedly threatened and pointed a knife at the victim before demanding money from him.
The victim was unharmed, and officers arrested two men from the Newport area on suspicion of robbery.
They were all later released on bail as enquiries continue.
Officers would now like to speak to a woman, who was reportedly in the area at the time and may be able to help their enquiries.
