CARMARTHENSHIRE County Council has suspended indoor visits to residential care homes. In a statement issued today Jake Morgan, Statutory Director of Social Services said:
“As a precautionary measure due to a rise in the level of Covid-19 in the community, all residential care homes in Carmarthenshire have been asked to suspend visits, effective from 7pm today, for an initial period of two weeks (until September 25).
“Staff have been asked to continue supporting families to visit relatives outside, so long as this is practical.
“This decision has been taken after careful consideration, and we appreciate that this will be disappointing for some families and residents. We thank everyone for their continued support.”
