Everyone welcome at RNLI Pwllheli’s Open Day

RNLI Pwllheli is inviting everyone to their family open day on Thursday 2 June from 11am to 3pm at Pwllheli lifeboat station for a fun-filled day out.

There will be free food and exciting games including entertainer Mr Bubbles, children’s face painting, sand boat building and water safety advice. Don’t forget to bring picnic blankets, buckets and spades, swimming gear and everything you need for a great day at the beach.
The RNLI’s favourite mascot, Stormy Stan, will be on hand to greet visitors, while singing trio, Greg, Andy and Kirk will be providing the music. Visitors will also be able to see the new lifeboat station and chat to volunteer crew about the new Shannon all-weather lifeboat and the D-class inshore lifeboat.

The RNLI Pwllheli Open Day is a great way to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Her Majesty became Patron of the RNLI in 1952, the year she became Queen so 2022 also marks her Majesty’s 70th year as Patron.

Andy Vowell, RNLI Pwllheli Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: ‘We are all looking forward to welcoming everyone to our Family Fun Open Day at our new lifeboat station in Pwllheli on Thursday 2 June. It will be great to finally show our visitors the new lifeboat.’
