SOUTH Wales Police responded to reports robberies in Oxford Street and Norfolk Street, Swansea, this morning,Saturday, (Aug 24.)
Police were called shortly before 9.10am with reports of an armed robbery in Oxford Street. A man was threatened by a male suspect who then made off with a cash box.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The second incident took place in Londis, Norfolk Street, at around 9.12am. A male suspect fled the scene empty handed.
The woman was not injured.
Armed officers were deployed to ensure the safety of the public and officers in the area.
Arrest enquiries are ongoing and anyone who has any information which could assist the investigation, or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area prior to the incident, is urged to contact 101, or 999 in an emergency, quoting occurrence 1900312232.
