A man has been charged in connection with an incident in Ely on Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to Stanway Road at around 4pm to reports of a road traffic collision.
A 46-year-old woman and 27-year-old man were injured during the incident and it is believed the car involved – a silver Mazda MX5 – also collided with a dog.
The woman continues to receive treatment at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
Russell Anthony Flynn has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and two counts of wounding with intent.
Flynn, 41, from Llandaff, was remanded to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 21.
