SOUTH Wales Police has charged a 52-year-old man with murder following the death of Luke Williams, aged 26, in Aberaman last month.
Mr Williams was pronounced deceased on Thursday, December 19th at Prince Charles Hospital following an incident in Commerce Place at approximately 8.50pm on Monday, December 16th.
Andrew John Davies, from Aberaman, was initially arrested and charged with causing Grievous Bodily Harm and was remanded into custody at Merthyr Magistrates Court.
Davies has now been charged with the murder of Mr Williams and will appear at Cardiff Crown Court this morning.
