DYFED-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses after a pony was shot in the neck with a crossbow.The pony was in a distressed state having been shot in the neck, when it was found near the A4059 between Storey Arms and Hirwaun.
A member of the public came across the pony and contacted Welsh Pony Rehoming and Rescue Charitable Trust. Due to the suffering of the mare it was approved by a vet for it to be put down.
