THE decision on whether to close three primary schools and build a new area school for the Aeron Valley will be taken next month.
Ceredigion County Council’s cabinet received the 11 responses to the statutory consultation on the future Ciliau Parc School, Dihewyd School and Felinfach School.
Cllr Catherine Hughes said not all the responses were objections with “some of them quite positive.”
A full report on the consultation, with the statutory notice published on September 16 and its responses will be presented to full council for decision.
Objections included in the report to cabinet include concerns about the lack of information on where a new school would be built and in what time frame, the closure of small village schools, the impact on standards while the plan is implemented and child safety.
Council leader Cllr Ellen ap Gwynn said that full council will be rescheduled from December 12 due to the General Election to the following week, December 19.
