A LANDOWNER is being prosecuted for alleged illegal tree felling in Gower.
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) said it was also aware of “waste activities” at the land in question.
It follows concerns that were raised about activities at the site, just south of the B4271 between Fairwood and Llethryd at a spot known locally as Carter’s Ford.
An NRW spokeswoman said: “Natural Resources Wales is aware of the concerns around tree felling and waste activities at this site.
“There is a current, ongoing prosecution for the illegal felling.”
She added: “An advice and guidance letter was sent to the site owners in November in relation to waste activities.”
The Local Democracy Reporting Service also contacted Swansea Council, which has been made aware of activities at the site, but it didn’t respond at the time of going to press.
