A man has been charged in connection with the murder of Sarah Hassall from Pontypridd.
In a statement issued earlier South Wales Police said:
“South Wales Police can confirm that the 37 year-old man who was being held in custody in connection with the death of Sarah Hassall has been charged with her murder.
“Brian Manship, of Pontypridd, will appear before Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on Wednesday (9 October, 2019).”
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Oshea, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “I would like to thank the local community for their support and cooperation following this shocking incident and I would like to emphasise that incidents of this nature really are extremely rare.”
Specially trained family liaison officers continue to provide to support to Sarah’s family at this difficult time.
