On Monday 10 January, James Starbuck joined Ceredigion County Council as Corporate Director.
James was appointed by Council members on Friday, 22 October and will be working alongside Barry Rees, Corporate Director to lead and manage a group of service areas to support the delivery of modernised and sustainable services to our communities.
Eifion Evans, Chief Executive said: “I congratulate James on his appointment. James’ extensive leadership experience, both in Local Authority and in the third sector, will be critical as we continue to transform the way we deliver our care and support services, move towards new ways of working and build on our Team Ceredigion ethos.”
James’ early career was spent in Local Government working in finance and leisure services roles. Over the past 15 years he has been Chief Executive of two large multi-million pound charitable trusts, working closely with local authorities and NHS Trusts.
James Starbuck said: “I’m thrilled to join the Ceredigion team. The transformational nature of our Through Age and Wellbeing strategy will be challenging but the impact its successful implementation will bring to our local communities’ health, wellbeing and social care will be extremely rewarding.”
