SOUTH Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision that occurred approximately 4:35pm yesterday (8 September) on the A4241, Afan Way junction with Victoria Road, Port Talbot.
A white coloured Ford Transit Connect was in collision with a blue coloured Renault Megane and a blue coloured Seat Toledo. Despite the best efforts of attending emergency services the 49-year-old male driver of the Ford Transit vehicle died at scene.
A 20-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were taken to hospital with minor injuries from the Renault Megane. The 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink or drugs and remains under investigation.
The cause of the collision is under investigation and we would like to speak with any witnesses to the collision, any person who may have dash camera footage of the incident or anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of any of the vehicles prior to the collision.
