DONATIONS have exceeded £110,000 in the first 24hours and continue to rise in response to The Big Give’s match funding Covid-19 Emergency Appeal that launched at noon yesterday, in partnership with the National Emergencies Trust (NET) national Coronavirus Appeal.
Further match funding has also been confirmed, with the total now standing at £432,000 meaning more donations from the public will be doubled.
In addition to the initial £200k provided by the Reed Foundation and the Reed family, a further £200k has been confirmed from the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust, and additional sums from Helen Perry of Lakehouse and Newhall Publishing.
