On the 18th November a by-election will pit 2 Welsh Nationalist Parties against each other in Hendy.
Gwlad candidate Wayne Erasmus is up against Plaid Cymru’s candidate Meinir Jones.
Gwlad, Wales’s newest party, was formed in 2018 at a meeting in Llanelli where founder members from all over Wales decided to form a new party to truly represent Wales as a whole, respect all views, and work together for all of our Country.
Wayne’s agent Sian Caiach said: “Like many Gwlad members, Wayne himself is a former Plaid Cymru member. Wayne was brought up in Hendy and hopes to reverse the long history of broken promises and loss of amenities in the village. Plaid Cymru has controlled both Community and County Council for some time, and Wayne believes Hendy is too often forgotten and ignored.
“Wayne was a merchant seaman who, after travelling all over the world, returned to Hendy to live near his family.
“Wayne stood for Gwlad in the Gower Constituency in the last Senedd Elections and is a member of Gwlad’s Steering Committee.”
