POLICE in Cardiff are investigating an assault which was reported at around 7.40pm this evening in the Adamsdown area of Cardiff.
A 40 year-old local woman has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales where she is being treated for stab wounds
A scene is being preserved at the address and enquiries are continuing.
