AROUND 150 people took part in a protest in Carmarthen today to show solidarity with the #Black Lives Matter protests around the world.
Protesters carried placards with the slogans ‘white silence is violence’, ‘I can’t breathe’, If not now when?’ and ‘rise up against injustice’.
Among the demands protesters were calling for
- Immediate suspension of UK sales of tear gas, riot shields and rubber bullets to the USA
- Condemning USA’s use of force against its own residents
- UK Government to release the report into BAME COVID-19 deaths
