BOTH Mumbles lifeboats were tasked during strong winds and heavy seas on Saturday (Aug 10).
Firstly to a 32ft catamaran which was drifting out into the bay. Just before 2pm the inshore lifeboat was tasked by UK Coastguard at Milford Haven to assist.
Meanwhile the All Weather Lifeboat was called to the aid of a person in difficulty in the water at Aberavon. Fortunately the person was helped back to shore by some surfers in the area.
Lifeboat operations manager at The Mumbles said ‘The stormy weather is making conditions very difficult across the weekend. We urge everyone that if they must storm watch that it should be from a safe position.’
