RESPONDING to the vaccine target milestone, Plaid Cymru’s Health Spokesperson Rhun ap Iorwerth MS said,
“This milestone is a testament to the hard-work of our wonderful NHS staff and the army of volunteers who have gone beyond the call of duty to ensure Wales is able to reach this target. This would not have been possible without them.
“The vaccine roll-out gives us hope and confidence that we are moving in the right direction and it must continue at pace to ensure that the people of Wales are vaccinated as quickly as possible. We need to know what this milestone now means for further easing of restrictions. I am grateful to the people of Wales for all they have done to get us to this point.
Wrth ymateb i garreg filltir targed y brechlyn, dywedodd Llefarydd Iechyd Plaid Cymru, Rhun ap Iorwerth AS,
“Mae’r garreg filltir hon yn dyst i waith caled ein staff GIG gwych a’r fyddin o wirfoddolwyr sydd wedi mynd y tu hwnt i sicrhau bod Cymru’n gallu cyrraedd y targed hwn. Ni fyddai hyn wedi bod yn bosibl hebddyn nhw.
“Mae cyflwyno’r brechlyn yn rhoi gobaith a hyder inni ein bod yn symud i’r cyfeiriad cywir a rhaid iddo barhau ar gyflymder i sicrhau bod pobl Cymru’n cael eu brechu cyn gynted â phosibl. Mae angen i ni wybod beth mae’r garreg filltir hon bellach yn ei olygu i leddfu cyfyngiadau ymhellach. Rwy’n ddiolchgar i bobl Cymru am bopeth maen nhw wedi’i wneud i’n cyrraedd ni at y pwynt hwn.
